A VI Peel is a specific type of chemical peel that typically combines several acids, vitamins, and minerals to address various skin concerns. It aims to improve skin tone, texture, and clarity while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

VI Peels are known for being less harsh than some other peels, resulting in minimal downtime. They are suitable for individuals looking to rejuvenate their skin, treat acne, and reduce pigmentation issues. Vi Peel is safe on all skin types.

OVERVIEW OF THE VI PEEL TREATMENT

The Vi Peel treatment offers a minimally invasive solution for improving skin texture, tone, and clarity, often targeting issues like acne, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation. The process of getting a Vi peel treatment involves the following steps:

Consultation: The Vi Peel treatment begins with a consultation where our practitioner assesses your skin condition, discusses your concerns and goals.  This way we can determine what type of  Vi Peel is suitable for you.

Preparation: The treatment starts with cleansing the skin to remove any impurities. We use a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup from your skin. Additionally, we may use pre-treatment solutions or wipes containing ingredients like alcohol or acetone to further clean the skin and ensure optimal penetration of the Vi Peel solution.

Application: After thorough cleaning of your skin,  the Vi Peel solution is evenly applied to the face. This solution works to exfoliate the skin and stimulate collagen production. The duration of application is determined based on your skin analysis. After the appropriate time, the peel is neutralized with a neutralizer. Post-peel protectant is applied to soothe and protect the skin.

Post-treatment care: Afterwords we provide you with post-treatment instructions. This is to ensure proper care and for you to achieve optimal results. We will give you a kit and instructions to take home with everything you will need after the treatment. It is important to follow the at home instructions along with avoiding picking and peeling the area treated. For post-peel skin care you should use ONLY recommended skin care product that will soothe and hydrate your skin. You will need to skip other skincare products that contain harsh or irritating ingredients until your skin has fully healed. VERY IMPORTANT is for you to avoid direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. You should also drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin.

Follow-up and maintenance: You should schedule  any recommended follow-up appointments with your practitioner to monitor your skin’s progress and address any concerns. Depending on your skin’s condition and desired results, we may recommend periodic Vi Peel treatments to maintain or enhance your achieved results.

CANDIDATES FOR VI PEEL

VI Peel is suitable for individuals with various skin concerns, making it a versatile option. If you experience some of the below skin conditions, you are a good candidate for VI peel treatment:

Fine lines: The VI Peel offers a powerful solution for addressing fine lines, providing noticeable benefits with just one treatment. Its unique blend of ingredients, including TCA, Retin-A, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, and Vitamin C, work synergistically to exfoliate the skin, stimulate collagen production, and improve overall texture. Patients often experience significant reduction in the appearance of fine lines, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin with minimal downtime.

Wrinkles: VI Peel targets wrinkles by exfoliating damaged skin layers, stimulating collagen production, and promoting cellular turnover. Patients typically experience noticeable improvements in wrinkle reduction, leading to smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin over time.

Active acne: Vi Peel can be beneficial for active acne. The peel’s blend of ingredients, including salicylic acid, helps to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, and reduce inflammation, which are all beneficial for treating and preventing acne breakouts.

Acne scars: VI peel exfoliate damaged skin layers and reduces inflammation. The number of treatments depends how deep are the acne scars. Over a series of treatments, patients often experience significant fading of acne scars, resulting in smoother, clearer skin and renewed confidence.

Hyperpigmentation: The VI Peel offers transformative benefits for those struggling with hyperpigmentation concerns, delivering noticeable improvements in skin tone and clarity. It effectively targets excess melanin production and promotes cell turnover. Patients typically experience a reduction in hyperpigmentation, revealing a more even complexion and radiant skin.

Uneven skin tone: VI Peel works exceptionally well for uneven skin tone, effectively addressing hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and other discolorations. It targets excess melanin production and promotes cell turnover, resulting in a more balanced and uniform complexion. Our patients are very happy with significant improvements in their skin tone.

RECOVERY AFTER VI PEEL

It is crucial to follow the below steps for smooth recovery after a Vi Peel treatment. Your goal, and our goal, is to reveal your younger, rejuvenated skin with improved texture and clarity. Here are some common aspects to consider regarding the recovery process:

Immediately post-peel: Your skin may appear slightly red or feel tight. We will provide you with a post-peel kit containing soothing products to apply immediately after treatment to calm the skin and promote healing.

Initial peeling phase: Within the first few days following the Vi Peel, you may experience mild to moderate peeling, similar to a sunburn. This is a natural part of the exfoliation process as the old, damaged skin sheds to reveal fresher, healthier skin underneath.

Moisturization and hydration: You should keep your skin moisturized and hydrated during the peeling phase to minimize discomfort and support the healing process. Use only gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizers recommended by our skin expert to soothe and hydrate your skin.

Sun protection: Protecting your skin from the sun is essential post-Vi Peel. Avoid direct sun exposure and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily to prevent sun damage and hyperpigmentation. In general, you should wear SPF every day. However, after a Vi Peel treatment, it is especially important to do so.

Avoiding irritants: During the recovery period, it’s best to avoid using harsh skincare products, exfoliants, or treatments that may irritate the skin. Stick to gentle cleansers and moisturizers recommended our skincare expert to maintain skin integrity.

Follow-up visit: Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments with our practitioner to monitor your skin’s progress and address any concerns. We will provide additional recommendations for your post-peel skincare and maintenance to optimize your results and ensure long-term skin health.

Repeated treatment: The number of VI Peels needed varies from person to person.  It depends  on individual skin concerns and desired outcomes. While some individuals may see noticeable improvements with just one peel, others may benefit from a series of treatments for more significant or specific issues. Our skincare expert will be able to come up with a suitable treatment plan that is right for you.
